What does it mean, wait for the Lord?

It means that you may receive His gifts when He gives them, instead of demanding them when you want them.

The time for giving has not yet come.

Ouch… way to humble a girl with that last line Augy!!

When I found this picture, the caption read “Augustine: a pioneer of heart religion“… which, if that is not an official title for him- I think it should be. No one has ever written so eloquently & honestly of the inner workings of the human condition- of love, loss, sacrifice, desire, fear, repentance & so on.
