The Rite of Forgiveness
After the dismissal at Vespers, the priest stands beside the analogion, or before the ambon, and the faithful come up one by one and venerate the icon, after which each makes a prostration before the priest, saying, “Forgive me, a sinner.” The priest also makes a prostration before each, saying, “God forgives. Forgive me.” The person responds, “God forgives,” and receives a blessing from the priest. Meanwhile the choir sings quietly the irmoi of the Paschal Canon, or else the Paschal Stichera. After receiving the priest’s blessing, the faithful also ask forgiveness of each other.

Strong Women Don’t Need ‘Feminism’ … They Need Men

In light the HHS mandate and politicians jockeying to jump on the pro-choice… (::cough cough:: pro-abortion, pro-murder, pro-infanticide  … take your pick), "women’s health" issue bandwagon as they establish their platforms, I have noticed a number of closet “feminist” emerging from the woodwork, and this is a tiny bit of what I have to say:

What strong women need are men who surpass them in strength. Men who uphold womanhood, that is to say, men who cherish femininity and the female body and all that in encompasses, be it fertility, emotions, motherhood, gentleness, strength, and intuition. Men who don’t wish for a woman to be anything other who she was meant to be. Men who want to safeguard and protect women from a world that hands her birth control to stop her fertility and motherhood, and suppress her emotions by altering her chemical balance. A world that tells her strength is in being independent and ‘taking care of herself’ by using contraception. A world that promotes ‘logic’ over intuition, because her intuition knows the contraceptive mentality is being implemented in society so she can be available at all times to be used as a means to someone’s end. Where ‘logic’ reasons that since ‘everyone else’ is doing it, it must be ‘normal’. A ‘logic’ that encourages her to believe that it’s an ‘even’ exchange because she is ‘getting hers’ too. [this ‘logic’ stems from the via moderna or ‘modern view’ of the 1300’s which is nominalistic in nature- basically making all truths, including logic, subjective! … or just down right ridiculous and idiotic]

Bible time! … oh, you should have known this would be the next stop on our road to redemption of the ‘feminists’, …pun intended
